Compare the size of the battery capacity. A typical cadmium-nickel battery is 500mAh or 600mAh, and a hydrogen-nickel battery is only 800-900mAh; while lithium-ion mobile phone batteries generally have a capacity of between 1300-1400mAh, so a lithium-ion battery will last about 1.5 times longer than a hydrogen-nickel battery and about 3.0 times longer than a cadmium-nickel battery when fully charged. If you find that the lithium-ion mobile phone battery block you have purchased does not work for as long as advertised or specified in the manual, it is likely to be counterfeit.


Look at the plastic surface and plastic material. Genuine batteries have an even anti-friction surface and are made of PC material, which is not brittle and cracked; counterfeit batteries have no anti-friction surface or are too rough and made of recycled material, which is easily brittle and cracked.


Measure the charging voltage of the battery block. If a cadmium-nickel or hydrogen-nickel battery block is used to counterfeit a lithium-ion mobile phone battery block, it must consist of 5 single cells, with the charging voltage of individual cells generally not exceeding 1.55 V and the total voltage of the battery block not exceeding 7.75 V. When the total charging voltage of the battery block is below 8.0 V, it is likely to be a cadmium-nickel or hydrogen-nickel battery.


For the original battery, it has a clear, even and clean surface texture, no obvious scratches and damage; the battery logo should be printed with the battery model, type, rated capacity, standard voltage, positive and negative pole mark, and the manufacturer's name. It should feel smooth and free from obstruction, be loose and tight, fit well with the hand and have a reliable latch; the hardware piece should be free from obvious scratches and black and green phenomena. If we buy a mobile phone battery that does not match the above phenomena, we can initially conclude that it is a fake.

If, in the process of charging, we find that the battery is seriously hot or smoke, or even explode, it means that the battery is definitely fake.

In the face of the increasing variety of mobile phone batteries on the market and the increasing sophistication of counterfeiting techniques, some large companies are constantly improving their anti-counterfeiting technology. With the improvement of the anti-counterfeiting technology, it is difficult to identify the genuine from the appearance.
