There are many different types of purely electric vehicles, usually classified according to vehicle use, the number of on-board power batteries and the composition of the drive system. According to the different classifications of use, pure electric vehicles can be divided into three kinds of electric cars, electric trucks and electric buses.

(1) Electric cars are the most common purely electric vehicles available today. Apart from some concept cars, pure electric cars are already available in small series and have entered the automotive market.

(2) Electric vans used as power transport are relatively rare, while in mines, construction sites and some special sites, there have long been some large tonnage pure electric cargo vehicles.

(3) Electric buses, purely electric minibuses are also less common; purely electric buses used as buses have already performed well on bus routes in some cities as well as at expos and world games
